Women and Governance

NAWO Odisha has been active in federations and solidarity organizations, capacity building for female PRI members, and the battle to remove the two-child rule as an electoral conditionality that has been a barrier. The government's 50% reservation campaign for women has proven to be effective. the endeavour to support candidate nominations that are filled 100% of the time, capacity building for electoral processes, etc. NAWO has also participated in the national movement for a 33% seat reservation in the legislature and state assembly.
